History

Established in the North-East of England, on the edge of Weardale, the family business of Dixon’s Cabinet Makers and Sawmill has been going from strength to strength over the last 15 years.

Paul is the master craftsman. Wth over 25 years’ experience within the trade, he still enjoys turning the natural product into a bespoke piece of furniture, in accordance to his clients needs.

Born and raised in Grizedale Forest, he is a Cumbrian at heart and has always had a passion for the forest.

His wife Laura, has been grafted into the business.

Previously a primary school teacher, Laura is a home-educating Mom to our two budding woodworking enthusiasts who love nothing more than spending their days in nature. Surrounded by the beautiful Weardale countryside, how could you not?
