This Spalted Beech is truly stunning. Spalting is already present within the tree and is what helps the decaying process. When the tree dies, this spalting takes over and gives the timber this beautiful ink effect which runs throughout the grain. Measurements are 40cm x 23 cm and 1 1/4 inch thick (approx.). Finished in a food safe oil and natural wax with a glass-like texture.
